Thanks 2018 and Happy New Year!

Well 2018 was an absolute whirlwind.   I started the year releasing Heartbreak Song For The Radio as one half of The LYNNeS.  We played our first official show together at a house concert in Eganville presented by Off The Grid Productions.  I had spent a month woodshedding my electric set up so it was fun to get to finally put it to work in a live setting!  We then toured Europe and the UK in February and March, braving white-out winter conditions on the road as the Beast from the East brought very Canadian like weather to our friends across the oceans.  We then played a whole whack of shows across Canada and the North Eastern US, and some summer festivals too.   I managed to fit in a solo tour out in Alberta in June, which also included climbing some mountains and finally getting to see the giant pandas at the Calgary Zoo.  I was told they don't do much more than eat bamboo, but they must have heard I was coming because they did not disappoint, tumbling, running around, falling down AND even doing somersaults.  I spent a week on Prince Edward Island writing songs, and seven weeks touring Europe with my band The Good Intentions. Saw old friends. Met some new ones.  Climbed up on many chairs, tables, and bars to sing, and even climbed a 30 foot stack of picnic tables just because it was there.  Attended the Canadian Folk Music Awards in Calgary with The LYNNeS - we won Ensemble of the Year and English Songwriter of the Year which was a huge honour.   And to close it all out I spent December writing songs for a new album I'll be recording in 2019 with Jim Bryson.  It's been a privilege to get to share my songs with all of you out there, and to share the stage with so many talented musicians over the past year!!  I am VERY much looking forward to what 2019 will bring. Happy New Year!!!!   xo Lynne ?
